The Final Comprehensive Exam (from now on FCE) was introduced in the academic year 2016-2017 as part of the requirements of the national Law on Higher Education.
1.1 Credits
FCE has the same credits as the Graduation Project according to the curriculum of respective program. As follows for each program:
Business Informatics: 5 Epoka Credits, 6 ECTS.
Business Administration: 5 Epoka Credits, 7 ECTS.
International Marketing and Logistics Management: 5 Epoka Credits, 6 ECTS.
1.2 Grading
The exam will be graded according to the proportions decided by the department prior to the exam. Students will be graded from FF to AA in accordance with their results shown in the exam. Passing grade is DD, as in other courses. The grade taken from the exam will affect the student GPA.
1.3 Exam period
The exam will be held during the Spring Semester, in the Final Examination period.
a. It applies to graduating 3rd year bachelor students.
b. Students having a GPA lower than 3.00 have to take (mandatorily) the Final Comprehensive Exam.
c. GPA for this purpose will be calculated based on the achievements of the students up to, and including, the 5th semester.
d. Students having a 3.00 GPA or higher have the option to choose whether to take the Final Comprehensive Exam or to complete a Graduation Project
Since the FCE is considered as all the other exams (except meaning and content), the same rules apply in terms of Resit exam and Additional exam options. For instance, students who do not enter or can not pass the exam can take the Resit exam or Additional exam
The FCE for the three programs under the Business Administration department contains a total of 70 questions, multiple-choice and open-ended.
Students will be provided with a pool of 350 multiple-choice questions.
Students will receive the Question Pool at the beginning of the semester.
Regarding open-ended questions, students will be provided only with the topics they need to study, not the question pool.
The evaluation of the FCE grade will be based 70% on the multiple-choice questions and 30% based on the open-ended questions.
